The musicians want this together with a few colleagues to unite their supporters. They do this under the name BAM! (Professional Association for Author-musicians).
Molema and Perquin occurred two years ago as independent members to the board of copyright organization Buma / Stemra. Felis was elected member of the Council of Members. Now they find time for more action. Molema, Perquin and Felis together with Tjeerd Bomhof (Voicst / Dazzled Kid), Torre Florim (The State), Aafke Romeijn, casper starreveld (Kensington) and Ed Struijlaart the board.
BAM! is lobbying inside and outside Buma / Stemra for musicians who perform their own work. Thus, the association include “a realization fairest possible distribution of revenue from music copyright, with a focus on the online domain and work with (inter) national interest and author associations to create a stronger bargaining power with major online players like Google, Apple and Spotify.
The eight-member board is the first year at the helm. Then, the board ‘and by’ elected members. Among the current members are artists like Blaudzun, Di-rect, Laura Jansen, Dotan and Chef’Special
