Friends and family of Braakhekke names in the Amsterdam vondel church during a private ceremony departure of the cook. Then followed the funeral.
Braakhekke, died on 8 december at the age of 75. He fought for some time against metastatic pancreatic cancer. Last september, it was announced that the disease had come back, after he earlier this year healthy was declared.
Braakhekke, since the diagnosis combative and decided in Germany immunotherapy to undergo. However this has not worked.

already 45 years together and it is wise to now have something to arrange, because I don’t know how it ends with my disease,” said Braakhekke at the time.
