The Austrian singer Udo Jürgens is deceased at the age of 80 .

Udo collapsed while walking in Switzerland, reporting various German media. The singer is deceased Sunday afternoon in the hospital with acute heart failure. Udo’s management is deeply saddened by the death of the singer and asks fans to privacy at this sad time.

Udo in September gave a candid interview about the fact that he was older. “When I was seventy, I felt fifty and eighty now I feel more than a year older. Aside from some minor inconveniences that everyone experiences I feel with fit,” he said. “In my mind I have not changed anything. I would feel old as the joy of life declined, as I would be cynical.
