Review: ‘Limp Bizkit shows off other people’s feathers on Lowlands’ – NU.nl

Fred Durst and his associates were twice Lowlands. For the first time in 1997, as emerging rapmetalband, and three years later, as pioneers for the nu-metal wave at the beginning of this century. The band pressed his own head in advance when guitarist Wes Borland left the band.

In recent years, Limp Bizkit again trying to gain back some ground, again with Borland on board. That worked very well at Pinkpop in 2014, although the band is failing at what Lowlands. To start with Fred Durst not very good voice, though he apparently okay amuses.

Limp Bizkit is limited to a handful of their own hits ( My Generation , Rollin ‘(Air Raid Vehicle) , Nookie , My Way and Break Stuff ) and some lesser known work, but flaunts In addition, plenty of other people’s feathers. For example, between some songs played by rapnummers of other artists. This gage is easy money.

Nirvana and Guns’ N Roses

Wes Borland lets hear even more songs that he knows by heart than those of Limp Bizkit. As he plays and sings Smells Like Teen Spirit Nirvana and Fred Durst also sings Welcome To The Jungle of Guns’ N Roses.

They do the audience a great pleasure, but it is creative poverty. After the end of the dance performance Fred Durst for a bit to the sound of Stayin ‘Alive
