Laugh at a black year in conferences – Telegraaf.nl

The year-old conference of Claudia de Breij is on new year’s eve live from the Oude Luxor in Rotterdam, broadcast on NPO 1, against a backdrop of champagne bottles that the skyline of Rotterdam. It gives the comedian the opportunity to, if necessary, also the latest current events to catch in her performance.

The RTL 4-conference Sin(r) Intentions of Javier Guzman was already on 20 and 21 december, recorded in Amsterdam’s DeLaMar Theater, but due to the departure of Sylvana Simons at Think he saw himself forced to perform some extra pictures and add them to the assembly.

    Divisions

Both The Breij if Guzman is in agreement that the division originated in 2016. However, this leads to two completely different programs. All there are in terms of aangestipte topics indeed also many similarities. Of course Trump (according to Guzman, we had the horrorclowns, while America as president), the mayor of Cologne (those women recommended the arm stretched out to hold against sexual assault), Sylvana Simons (The Breij call her the Claire Underwood of the Dutch politics), Erdogan and say goodbye to heroes like Cruyff, Ali, Bowie and Prince (according to The Breij is the world there are not so improved, but the sky does) with both comedians have plenty to offer.

Guzman makes himself time and time again the question of how it could have happened that we are so far from each other hit. And that in a year that the Jewish and Islamic new year nota bene on the same day fell. It is an exciting, but also dangerous question to to lay down, because there is simply no answer. And in that attempt at a module runs Guzman also somewhat fixed.

    Hard jokes

What remains is then a fairly straight up performance with a long series of sometimes hard, but often good jokes. As about the threat of terrorism during the Gay Pride, when a police officer on the local media, she tells them that that day, striking, and abnormal behavior relating to, while in the background, just a boat passes, filled with exuberant dancing, half naked gays. But Guzman also sees a connection between the older Brits who for Brexit chose and the fact that we are now about euthanasia talk. And he wonders how we Dutch nationalism, as well can combine with total cowardice. We drukmaken to a gasdeal, while there is just a plane full of fellow countrymen from the air is shot.

Guzman delivers a strong program in which the main events of the past year pass in review. He offers above all an evening of carefree laughter to the dark misery of 2016.

    Musical note

Claudia de Breij is the grapdichtheid perhaps a little less high, but she adds, however, music (with her five-piece band) and the necessary reflections. She sees the same gap as Guzman, but she suspects that in addition to the screaming people on both sides of an implied majority is correct in the gaping depth is cases who desperately seek to climb.

The comedian is crying out for more positivity and is ready with the anger that our nowhere seems to bring. She dissects political parties on both the left and the right, and conclude from the point of view of the refugees that we are still not so bad in this country. The heavier theme that switches them off with hilarious pieces about genderneutraal lakes and the doting national hitteplan. It makes her year-old conference to a beautiful, varied, and substantive whole.

    Debutants

The two debutantes prove to be both a very nice year-old conference in the fingers. Actually, it is mostly a matter of taste on which station you want to tune. And given the different start times, you would even be able to choose to have them both.
