President Trump knew in his own protestsong ‘great again’. Green Day wrote no new song about the president, but simply used their entire Ziggo Dome show to make a political statement.

We live already for eleven days in a world where Donald Trump, the president of the Americas. Some fans are wondering how it is possible that Green Day still has to be heard.
A new protestalbum there is indeed not, but Billy Joe Armstrong and his bandmaatjes let there voice be heard if it is to Trump. Like last night during their concert in the Ziggo Dome.
“Fuck Trump, no Trump!”
Between playing the classics and new hits by filled Billie Joe his time with the screaming of several anti-Trump cries. the “Fuck Trump”, “Trump is a fascist puppet”, “No Trump, No Trump!”… It was all over.
in Addition, the protestsong ‘Troubled Times’ for the first time in this tour be taken off the shelf and led Billie Joe “Boulevard of Broken Dreams’ with the following statement:
“For all the refugees who got turned away from the American border: the only one we’re turning away is Donald Trump! He’s a puppet!”
The writing of a new protestsong is for Green Day so it is not even necessary. For them it is fine with ‘old’ material! So was ‘American Idiot’ was originally written for George W. Bush, but turns out the song is also very much applicable to Donald Trump.

of Course, there was in addition to all the political statements also space for a lot of punk rock and spectacle. The eighteen-year-old Joel was the stage erected for ‘Knowledge’ to play with and of course there was a bucket of confetti over the sold-out Ziggo Dome was poured out. 3FM-photographer Ben Houdijk was there and made a number of topfoto’s!
