Anderson is one of the most successful American singers of the seventies. Her most famous song was released in 1970. The song has since been covered by several artists, including kdlang, Martina McBride and Suicide Machines.
The singer released many albums and scored worldwide hits. Such as the country song “Top of the World” in 1973, which the Carpenters in the same year scored a pop hit. Anderson last month released an album: Bridges. This was her first gospel album.
According to her publicist Pam Lewis Anderson had recently had pneumonia. She died in the hospital probably cardiac arrest. Anderson married and divorced twice and had three children.
