Makers Holland, nature in the Delta: “It was not always fun” – BBC News

EINDHOVEN – Almost two years they have been working on the film, but the results are impressive. ‘Holland, nature in the Delta’ is a breathtaking film about nature in the (Brabant) Biesbosch. “Nature seems so relaxed, but it was hard work, with a lot of stress.”

William Berents, cameraman and André Janse, Production Manager, are proud of their film ‘Holland, nature in the delta. ” They find him better than its predecessor, “The New Wild,” which was a huge success.

Waiting
Filming in the Biesbosch was a whole job. At ungodly hours pulling the crew out to shoot beautiful and impressive pictures. “They were often long days with little sleep,” said Berents.

“Animals have of course not direct. It’s especially a lot of waiting. necessary was asked of us endurance. Sometimes hours in a swamp wading, while it rained again hard. It was not always a fun. “

300 frames per second
Berents could have the most advanced camera, called a 6k,” nine times full HD, 300 frames per second. In pitch darkness it was difficult filming, sometimes we explain the way from one location and we walked away, hoping that the animals were going to do what we expect. “

A total of twenty people at the camera film work, around forty people on the whole production. “The tough work is rewarded. The results are impressive,” Janse says proudly. “And now on to the next film he will go on nature in the city.”.
