On the Heritage Days this weekend estimated that more than a million visitors come down. Amsterdam, Dordrecht and Bergen op Zoom were, according to the organization’s most visited municipalities. The town hall of Delft was ten thousand visitors to the popular site, followed by the Old Church and the Beurs van Berlage in Amsterdam (respectively 6500 and 6000 visitors).
The theme this year was art and craft, so the old crafts to the attention were taken at different locations. In houses, old mills, museums and castles craftsmen showed their work that mostly had to do with the monument where it was shown, reports news agency ANP.
The event did this year some five thousand monuments, some of which are not usually accessible to the public, in the whole country with it. According to the national foundation Heritage Day came on the 29th more tourists, more young people and families with young children.
For the anniversary edition, the organization works on a “special program” with special monuments, writes Reuters. The next Heritage Days will take place on 10 and September 11, 2016
