Film Press Appoints Son of Saul and Blood, sweat and tears to best films in 2015 – NU.nl

This makes the Circle of Dutch Film Journalists (KNF) on Monday.

Son of Saul is a grim drama that chronicles the Sonderkommando, the Jews to the gas chambers at Auschwitz cleaning needed. The film, directed by László Nemes won several awards, including the Cannes Film Festival, and is considered a serious contender for the Oscar for best foreign production.

The second place went to the animated film Inside Out from producer Pixar. The comedy, which in the summer was a big hit in theaters, chronicles the adventures of five emotions in the mind of a young girl.

The last title in the top three was the apocalyptic action movie Mad Max: Fury Road , directed by George Miller. For the film, which is set in a future that is being fought for fuel and water, the Dutch composer Junkie XL made the music

Hazes

Blood sweat and tears , which was proclaimed by the critics as the best Dutch film of the year, tells about a few crucial periods in the life of singer Andre Hazes. The drama won previously at the Dutch Film Festival for three Golden Calves for protagonists Martijn Fischer, Hadewych Minis and Raymond Thiry.

The second place in the Dutch annual list of the critics was for Refugees documentary Those who feel the fire burning director Morgan Knibbe. Also this title fell to the NFF a prize and won the calves for best documentary and best sound. The top three is completed by the acclaimed coming-of-age film Prince by director Sam de Jong.

This is the thirteenth time that the Dutch film press selects the best film of the year . The votes are cast by 93 journalists reviewing for newspapers, magazines, websites and radio programs.
