Ilse DeLange is committed to music education – NU.nl

“I’m lucky that I’m at the school a lot with music in touch am come”, responds the singer. “Children learn so well through music, and learn to connect is not all schools, of course. I am glad, all these years later, that I should make to hopefully structurally much more music in the classroom at primary school.”

“I’ll do my best to schools and directors eager to create,” says DeLange, who her ambassadorship explaining in The World Turns. “Music should more naturally be in the classroom. With a little luck have teachers with a passion for music that they bring, but often music is the afsluitpost on the budget.”

Around the table

DeLange went Thursday to start working immediately as an ambassador of More music in the classroom. She went along on her old primary school in Almelo, where they group of 8 and music lessons gave. The coming time is going to be the singer with the various parties involved to the table to talk about music education. DeLange is also the party on the big kerstgala More music in the classroom, co-organizes.

More music in the classroom is an initiative of minister for education Jet Bussemaker. The foundation is supported by a large number of ambassadors, among whom Joop van den Ende, Wouter Hamel and Henny Vrienten. Queen Máxima is honorary chairman of the platform ambassadors.
