I’m a fan. The Great British Bake Off take people out of the issues of the day, out of the rat race of work and kids and you back down here to face the facts: cake is a necessity of life. Or better: look to how someone bakes cake. And then there may certainly sometimes go wrong, please do so. It’s like life; far from perfect.
Ultimate mix
A year ago HHB -presentatrice Martine Bijl suffered a brain hemorrhage. A great personal tragedy, of course, but in addition I saw immediately the loss of her program. It is the ultimate mix between the ever-mischievous-looking Janny, the deadly serious Robèrt and then Martine so that what between flier flute; a little peek into furnaces, which sees beslagjes and just at the moment a spectacle after three hours baking tends to overwhelm each other with a voice full of empathy is to ask whether it all goes well. Who could maintain this mix?
It turned André van Duin. And how. All in his intro, I was moved. But really. He cited the absence of Martine and if you close your eyes did … you would swear you could hear Martine. It could be her text that was perhaps. It was at least 100% The Great British Bake Off , and that gave me courage. It would also be good this season again. Read more on VROUW.nl
