the Best Kept Secret has been started beaten. The festival in Hilvarenbeek picks in 2017 to the large public’s favorite Radiohead as a big valve. That the festival has just confirmed. It is the first festivalshow in the Netherlands for Radiohead since the Pinkpop festival, 2001. The ticket sales for Best Kept Secret will start on 19 november.
The advent of Radiohead is a big step for Best Kept Secret. The band was from 2013 at the top of the wish list of visitors, and director Robert Swarts is obviously pleased with the arrival of the band, since Pinkpop 2001 never on a Dutch festival played. “We are extremely proud and grateful that we have this publiekswens can make them come true. A more beautiful crown in five years the Best Kept Secret we can not wish to.' Guitarist Jonny Greenwood took already a look at the Best Kept Secret. In 2015, he opened the main stage with his classical compositions.
The booking also has consequences: the ticket price is going up from 147,50 to 170 euro for the whole weekend, day tickets will be 89 euro instead of 69. Director Swarts promises that the Best Kept Secret therefore the capacity of 25,000 (last year for the first time obtained on the Editors to-day) will be retained. “We deliberately chose to keep us at this level to maintain and will not continue to grow. With this capacity we can create the intimate atmosphere where the Best Kept Secret now is known for sufficient safeguards, but it also provides us the opportunity to have a strong and distinctive musical program. The advent of Radiohead is the ultimate proof of that.’
