Hollywood stars have with horror is responded to on a College Tour-interview with director Bernardo Bertolucci. Therein he confesses that actor Marlon Brando are tegenspeelster Maria Schneider with intent aanrandde in Last Tango in Paris. “I wanted them to have the anger and humiliation really would feel.”
“To all the people who made this film great: you’re looking at a 19-year-old who was raped by a 48-year-old man. The director planned it that way. I’m sick of it”, twitters Jessica Chastain.
“I wish to endorse that,” says Evan Rachel Wood. “This is heartbreaking and outrageous. These two are sick individuals that they thought that this is good.”
Also, Chris Evans is scared of the confession. “Wow. I will never be in the same way to this film, Bertolucci, or Brando can see. This is more than disgusting. I am furious.”
Anna Kendrick points out, the actor insisted that Maria Schneider this itself already told about the verkrachtingsscène. “I had no idea” said Evans afterwards. “Then I had also anger felt. They would be locked up.”
Butter as a lubricant
In the film, the character of Schneider raped. This is to butter as a lubricant. “In the scenario was that Marlon her in one way or another, had to rape,” says Bertolucci in College Tour.
“I sat with him to have breakfast in the apartment where the pictures were. There was a baguette and butter, and we looked at each other and without saying anything we knew what we wanted. I’m not against Maria said exactly what was going to happen. I wanted them to have responded as a little girl, not as an actress. I didn’t want her to her humiliation and anger acted, but that they who rage and humiliation really felt,” he says.
Real tears
it did. Schneider said a few years before her death that she is “a little bit raped’ felt by Bertolucci and Brando. “My tears in that scene are real. I was young and inexperienced and I understood the sex in the film, not at all. I had my manager or my lawyer need to ask to come, because you can someone do not force it if it’s not in the script, but I didn’t know that.”
The conscious interview with Bertolucci in the program of Twan Huys was in January 2013 in the Netherlands broadcast. He says, you have to feel guilty, but sorry he has not, because it was the film good, he thinks. “She has me, so the rest of her life hated.”
