It is a bizarre day for film editor Job ter Burg. Tonight won the film Elle, where In the Burg at co two Golden Globes and tonight was in Amsterdam the Dutch-American film Brimstone in the premiere. Also in that movie is Ter Burg involved as an editor.

“I’m still a bit in a daze. It is a strange day, but a very fun”, says Ter Burg on the red carpet. “I have been since yesterday morning at eleven o’clock wake up. When we tonight those first Globe won, I could not sleep. When we won a second. And now finally the premiere of Brimstone. It is one big whirl of mirth.”

Elle by director Paul Verhoeven is about a woman who is raped and then takes revenge. In Brimstone, directed by Martin Koolhoven, is the life of a woman dominated by a gedemoniseerde minister. Ter Burg see the similarities. “They are both movies with a strong female main character. Both women deny the slachtofferrol to accept. It is interesting that these films, in a short time both for the limelight.”
