Thomas Erdbrink will not show up in the 2017 season of the Summer. The journalist in his column in Volkskrant Magazine know that he is going to focus on the reporting and other television work.
Erdbrink (40) is in Iran correspondent for the de Volkskrant and The New York Times.
“With Trump in America and his cabinet full of Iranhaters is it a busy year for the newspaper, I thought to myself,” he writes in his column.
“I stop as the host of Summer, because there is no time for this year. We start next month with the creation of a sequel to Our man in Tehran. Furthermore, I focus on my real work: for The New York Times.”
Arjen is Well
Erdbrink was one season to see as a presenter of the VPRO-interviewserie. He had talks with, among others, Mark Rutte, and Arjen is Well.
Who his successor is, it is not yet known.
