The Swiss actor Bruno Ganz itself is well aware that he owes a lot to the Third Reich and the German history he said Thursday during the Venice Film Festival.
Just last year, he played in five such films. “I’m slowly getting enough of,” said the 74-year-old actor. The highlight of the actor was his role as Adolf Hitler in Der Untergang, a 2004 film.
In the film that competes in Venice at the prices of the festival, he has dropped a long way. He plays a former Wehrmacht soldier who massacred a Jewish family during the war. His opponent is a veteran, the 85-year-old Canadian actor Christopher Plummer
