Utrecht Anna Woltz wins the gouden griffel (Golden pencil – NU.nl

The 34-year-old author received the award on the children’s book ball, the start of children’s book week means.

The jury says about the winning book: “the Virtuoso connects and meshwork Woltz storylines. Her visual language has no further explanation needed. Everything has a function. Woltz has a sophisticated way to present information to introduce and dosing.”

“This is the best price you can get for a children’s book,”, said a beaming Woltz after the end of the children’s book ball against the NIS. “So I’m incredibly happy with it!”

The book Plaster is about the teenage girl Fitz, a child of divorced parents, who decides to never fall in love. The work of the Utrecht writer is translated into different languages and is all over the world are issued.

After the children’s book ball, the children’s book week Wednesday started. The theme this year is 'Grandpa'and Oma's' with the motto ‘forever young’. The children’s book week lasts until Sunday 16 October.
