HLN Hollywood The world learned Mel Gibson know as ‘Mad Max’ in 1979. But due to a severe alcohol addiction, he went in the last years several times out of the last turn – with the sad climax in the infamous jews ruling him three years conditionally gave. Even more ‘from hero to zero could not. But Gibson is all the way back. As director of the war film ‘Hacksaw Ridge’ is he even tipped for the Oscars. And all of that, with a ninth child on arrival.
Few people had money to bet that Mel Gibson once again embraced by Hollywood. But they do, of course, like a good story – preferably one with a happy ending. After Gibson worldwide broke through with the first ‘Mad Max’movie – in the meantime, almost 40 years ago, raised his star year after year. Also as a director, he threw high eyes. Over the past decade, he came, however, particularly in the news because of his alcohol problem and his racist and sexist remarks. Hollywood was in shock when Gibson in 2006 for drunk was stopped by the police and in the process, it stated that “the jews were responsible for all the wars”. He received three years conditionally, and went into therapy for his drinking problem. His self-confidence, he is after all these years, however, is not lost. We notice that, when he together with his entourage at his dead ease coming to us. And that with a war film that is bloodier than just about all horror movies together. The criticisms are nevertheless so good that it looks like Hollywood finally his sins can be forgiven. And also he has that dark period behind it. “In the past ten years are at least ‘interesting’ to name a few,” he says. “But I’m very hard on myself, worked and I feel good. I am glad that I have my life back on track and that I am again movies can make. I also feel a lot calmer, and I am going to me less likely than in the past.” Or he the female attention in his glory years than not is missing? He laughs. “You say now that I am no hunk ben?”, schatert he. “I miss the pressure in any case. All that “celebrity” thing is not for me, sin ce I have already long ago away from.” Gibson has all the reasons to be cheerful. ‘Hacksaw Ridge’ is already being tipped as a contender for an Oscar, but he wants to prefer not to get ahead. “The future is uncertain, but that I just like. I’m not a planner, because we all know that the most concrete plans are often completely different purpose. There is never anything gone as I want, but I find that I am still ok of afbreng. (laughs)”
at Home he has to say his house in order. After the press discussed divorce from his first wife, Robyn Moore, with whom he 26 years was married – and his brief relationship with the Russian Oksana Grigorieva (46), with whom he has a daughter – he has again found love. Gibson and his 34-year-younger girlfriend Rosalind Ross (26) are two years together. What he about love has been taught? “No one is to be nice or kind to find, but you should be everyone. Love of your neighbor. Do others not a pain, but that does not mean that you people just all over you have to let walk. What is love? I have at the moment no answer. Maybe shoot it to me next week to” winks. According to Mel he comes with all his exes is very similar: “Great, there are no problems. I’m not that bad.”
Rosalind is pregnant with Gibsons, the ninth child. The hollywood actor already had two daughters and six sons with his two exes. Notable: his eldest daughter, Hannah (36) is ten years older than his girlfriend. His youngest child, Lucia, is 6. Mel has also already have grandchildren, of whom the oldest is 5. The actor says that he is absolutely no trouble with the large age difference between him and Rosalind. “Age is just a number. She is old enough and we are mad each other, so so bad, and we have not.
“Proud papa”
I have as a father a lot of mistakes made,” he continues. “Children are unfortunately not with a manual. But the older I get and the more kids I get, the less mistakes I make. (laughs) I am proud of all my children, and they are fortunately all very dear and decent people. I hope that my next child also may be.” His son Milo is also in a small role in his latest film to see. The 26-year-old new-fangled actor felt right at home on the set of his first film. “He was at no time pulled around because he’s my son. He was from the very first recording of one of them.” Or Milo, like his father, the acteermicrobe to has gotten hold of? “I think he likes to do, he thinks it is in any case a very different experience. I am very proud of him.”
‘Hacksaw Ridge’ runs from 9 november in the cinema.
