Although Dylan was absent, the audience was still treated to his song A Hard Rain’s A-Gonna Fall. That was sung by the singer Patti Smith, who is so nervous that she was a part of the song twice had to sing.

“Can that again? Sorry, I’m so nervous", said the singer after she was silent. After deafening applause from the audience she made the song still.

In an acceptance speech during a gala dinner on behalf of him was pronounced by the American ambassador, let Dylan know that he had never dreamed that he even the Nobel prize would win.

“If someone had said that, then I’d be the chance of that just as many have found to be the likelihood on the moon,” he wrote. “I’m sorry that I have not personally can be with you, but please know that in any case, I spiritually am with you and I am very honored feel to have such a prestigious award to receive.”

Dylan was awarded the Nobel prize for his poetic creations in the American liederentraditie. He took two weeks before he had a response he gave, to the chagrin of some stakeholders.

Of any resentment, it was Saturday, nothing more to note. Professor Horace Engdahl of the Swedish Academy praised the singer in a speech as one of the greatest artists from the history of the world. “Dylan has been our idea changed of what poetry can be and how it works.”
