New album The Rolling Stones in december – NU.nl

the album contains several bluescovers, including songs by Howlin’ Wolf and Jimmy Reed, writes the group on their website.

“We have no time to practice or something. We packed just a song that fit with the harmonica playing of Mick (Jagger, eds.) or a guitar riff. And that worked pretty well: ‘This is what the Stones do, we play blues,’” says guitarist Ronnie Wood earlier this year.

The group also announced a verzamelset to come, in which all the music since their start in the sixties. In total, there are twelve songs on Blue & Lonesome.

The Rolling Stones let Thursday know that the album in three days was recorded at the British Grove Studios. Also Eric Clapton, who by chance was present in the studio for the recordings, contributed to the record.

The band has shared already on Thursday a taste of the song Just Your Fool, a cover of Buddy Johnson and His Orchestra.
