The tragicomedy Birdman and more than 2.5 hour film Boyhood, about growing up in the American boy Mason be regarded as a favorite for the main categories at the 87th Oscar ceremony in Los Angeles. Both films have been distinguished.
So called almost all critics, including the Netherlands, Boyhood be from the best film of 2014. The Oscars in the night from Sunday to Monday (Dutch time) awarded. Birdman, the Mexican Alejandro González Iñárritu, is about a Hollywood star who in his life once wants to make a serious play.
The film received nine nominations, including best film and best actor (Michael Keaton). Boyhood received six nominations, including also those for best film and best director (Richard Linkater).
As Birdman has The Grand Budapest Hotel by director Wes Anderson received nine nominations. The film The Imitation Game, about the life of the English mathematician Alan Turing unsung, received eight nominations.
In the short animated counterparts, the Dutch film A Single Life by director George Oprins with. In the work of 2 minutes and 15 seconds Pia gets a mysterious vinyl single, causing them suddenly seems to be able to travel through her own life.
