The descendants of Marvin Gaye dragged Robin Thicke to court because his hit Blurred Lines , according to them too much like Gaye’s song Gotta Give Up in 1977. In a session Wednesday took Thicke his keyboard back to the witness stand to play a medley which should include With Or Without You U2 , Let It Be The Beatles and No Woman No Cry Bob Marley .

He wanted to make clear that the structure of the song that he and Pharrell Williams might be made on other songs similar in construction, but nothing more. Only one chord corresponds, according Thicke.

Well gave Thicke due to the influence of drugs and alcohol have been wrongly claimed to be the mastermind behind his hit. “The biggest hit of my career has been written by someone else so I was jealous and wanted to put it on my name,” confessed the singer.
