The Top Gear may be temporarily out of the tube, yet again compromised. The British media watchdog Ofcom is investigating whether it was an offensive last year of broadcast. Presenter Jeremy Clarkson it used the word “pikey”. That is a derogatory term for people who lead a nomadic way of life, such as gypsies

The Traveller Movement, an organization among others Gypsies and Roma represented, had already complained to the BBC. Who laid the complaint in March disregard, and The Traveller Movement stepped Ofcom.
Clarkson used the word “pikey” to mock his fellow presenter Richard Hammond. Which had for a broadcast of the BBC program selected a car, Clarkson is mainly used by ‘pikeys’:. A Vauxhall Nova, the earlier version of the Opel Corsa for the UK market
The immense popular car program is not on TV because Clarkson during the filming of a new season hit a record producer. The popular but also infamous presenter looked for that reason his contract not be renewed. This meant that the program for the time being at a low ebb. Hammond and the third presenter James May showed not know for Clarkson to work on the show. There are rumors about a new presentation trio, but the BBC has given no definite answer on that yet
