The Amsterdam singer Sjors van der Panne, which recently broke through as a finalist of TV show The Voice of Holland, presents next week its first CD since his participation in the program. It is a record of the sold-out series of live concerts he gave in February and March at the Concertgebouw in Amsterdam.
The album will be launched Thursday during an extra concert was added because of the success of the series. Van der Panne fell during The Voice because he sang only English classics from artists like Jacques Brel and Frank Sinatra. The performance earned him an invitation for the series in the Concertgebouw.
The CD Classics in Concert is the culmination of a great time, which began with my participation in The Voice, “says the singer. “After ten years of performing in small venues and small audience, because if I sing my favorite songs in Dutch for the Netherlands.” The first copy shall be received by Albert Verlinde. “He’s just like me a lot of respect for the great artists in our country. The CD contains songs of Sinatra, Brel, Claudia Breij, Youp van ‘t Hek, Liesbeth List Ramses Shaffy, Boudewijn de Groot, Herman van Veen and Marco Borsato. The album is gepoduceerd by Sander Geboers, also the permanent composer of the Breij. Classics in the Concert Hall from Friday to order via the site of the singer and via iTunes.
