(AP) – AMSTERDAM (AP) – The artist Kurt Löb is deceased Monday in his hometown of Amsterdam. He had been ill for some time, made his elder daughter on Tuesday.
The Jewish Löb was born in Berlin and fled in 1939 with his family to Amsterdam. He followed that includes training at the National Academy of Visual Arts. Besides artist, he was also an illustrator of numerous books, including a series of twenty copies issued by the Zetcentrale Meppel as a New Year gift.
He also worked several years as a professor at the International Sommer Akademie für bildende Kunst in Salzburg and he graduated in 1994 and doctorate in literature at the University of Amsterdam.
