Two years after her success in The best singer -songwriter the Netherlands Maaike Ouboter produced her first album. “Suddenly, everything was under a magnifying glass.”
“I felt the pressure to perform right away, but it could not simply” says the 23 year old Maaike AD . “I had to catch my breath Everyone said. You now have the attention, so you have to quickly come up with something.” But Maaike did not hurry.
The past two years Ouboter finished her study, many songs written and performed. They stood in a sold out Paradiso. “It is certainly not true that I have done nothing.” Maaike tells the newspaper that they still find it special that they can touch people with her music. “That was not my intention at all when I competed in The best singer-songwriter of the Netherlands .” In the beginning she found it sometimes difficult, “but now I can only be thankful for”
