Pitch repels homophobic DJs – Telegraaf.nl

The Amsterdam PITCH festival is the performance of the Lithuanian DJ Ten Walls canceled after being out walking on Facebook negative about gay people. The DJ described gay men and lesbians as a different breed. He also compared homosexuality with child abuse in the Catholic Church

After angry visitors flocking called for a boycott, decided Mojo DJ deleting from programming. In a statement the organization of the festival announced that the Pitch Festival is for everyone and they oppose any form of discrimination, both on and off the festival. “The comments made by Ten Walls do not fit the philosophy of PITCH and therefore it would not make sense if the DJ does is run on the festival.”

The DJ has his post on his Facebook page since been removed. “I would like to apologize for the message I posted. I’m sorry that I have this offensive content, which does not reflect my real opinion, set.”

The organization of PITCH was not the Lithuanian told he no longer had to come. Also Mystery Land, the Spanish Sonar festival, Creamfields the British and the Austrian Urban Arts Form have the DJ canceled. Meanwhile also Coda Music Agency, the company that handles the bookings Ten Walls, said to end the cooperation with him.

Ten Walls, real name Marijus Adomaitis, is mainly known for the single Walking with Elephants, a toptienhit in Britain.
