Daniele Gatti will be the new chief conductor of the Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra. He succeeds Mariss Jansons, who over six months leave for health reasons. Gatti perform in the season 2016/17. “The orchestra chooses conviction for his enthusiasm and experience,” says CEO Jan Raes

Gatti (Milan, 1961) after Riccardo Chailly second Italian chef of the Concertgebouw Orchestra, and the seventh chief in the 126-year history. He made his debut in 2004 and since then the company has frequently conducted, even on tour. Battle Technically he is known as a great craftsman. In his musical approach, he can be erratic. He is currently head of the Orchestre National de France in Paris.
