Lau G., who was yesterday sentenced to life for double murder, tonight is found dead in prison Vught. Presumably he committed suicide, but that is being investigated further. That has informed the Ministry of Security and Justice.
The court in Maastricht G. sentenced yesterday to life imprisonment for the murder of Karim Fouad Bend Fourkour and Ella and burying both victims. His co-defendant Geert G. got thirty years in prison.
Geert G. According to the court, has willfully participated in the murder of both Venray Moroccans, who were caught in the rip of a marijuana plantation in May 2006. On his command had to kneel and bend Fourkour Ella with the face against the wall, and “architect” Lau G. gave the two a shot in the neck. The judge spoke ,, the willful killing of two men “and called it a” deliberate execution.
flight risk
G. Sat in the Security prison because he would be a flight risk. About the circumstances of his death is still little known. Research is being done by the medical examiner, forensic and police. The family, the lawyer, the prosecutor and the police have been directly informed.
The Health Care Inspectorate (IGZ) will be informed and will carry out a so-called disaster research. This is common when a prisoner dies in prison.
