Update The custody of the 70-year-old Dirk M . Zeist is suspended under certain conditions. Tomorrow comes the afpersopa at large. The man is accused by the prosecution of attempted extortion and threatening the family De Mol.

The lawyer Dirk M. asked the Council Chamber to suspend the trial detention because of reporting the psychiatrist and psychologist that the man suffers from a severe form of dementia.

The health of M. has clearly deteriorated during the personality test. Experts expect that his health continues to decline as the man remains in custody, the court says.

Suspension
