Standing ovation for Bassie and Adriaan at premiere – De Stentor

Bas and Aad van Toor, better known as Bassie and Adriaan Saturday have been given a standing ovation after the premiere of their first feature film. Producer Sjef Scholte praised the duo as “the best that Dutch children over the last half century has produced”

The movie “Koen and Keet & amp.; the Quest for Bassie and Adriaan ‘takes the pair retired from the Dutch public. They carry the baton to two talented young circus artists (Patrick Martens and Janouk Kelderman). Keet and Koen need to find Bassie and Adriaan if they are kidnapped by Esquire (Fabian Jansen), a cousin of the evil Baron from the old series.

The departure of Bas and Aad van Toor (now 80 and 72 years old) does not go unnoticed. Two weeks ago they received at the Film Festival of Ostend Achievenement a Lifetime Award. They received the award for their great and important contribution to the Dutch television. The pair broke up in the sixties by the acrobats duo The Crocksons. They were then seen for 35 years as the comic duo Bassie & amp; Adriaan.

The premiere of the film took place in the new cinema Cinemec in Utrecht. Koen and Keet & amp; the Quest for Bassie and Adriaan runs from October 7 in the Dutch cinemas.
