Full house for new film by Tarantino – Telegraaf.nl

The Hateful Eight, the new film from director Quentin Tarantino, attracts full houses. The western epic, will be available from Thursday, has attracted in the first few days, more than 100,000 visitors

That’s distributor Entertainment One announced Sunday. The high number is striking because the Kijkwijzer of the film 16 years and older. This means that public under 16. The Hateful Eight can not see in the movies.

The film tells the story of seven dangerous bounty hunters and their prisoner, a few years after the American Civil War in the wintry Wyoming. Hit by a snow storm them away from their route and get them stuck in a secluded spot, with all its consequences. The leading roles are played by Samuel L. Jackson , Walton Goggins , Jennifer Jason Leigh , Kurt Russell and Channing Tatum .

The Hateful Eight runs in two versions. The “normal” version is seen in almost all Dutch venues. Eye cinema in Amsterdam runs exclusively for the Benelux, the 70 mm version, a format still rarely used. This version is also another assembly than the version seen in the other cinemas and lasts for ten more minutes
