Groninger Museum is selling 15 000 tickets on day after death Bowie – NU.nl

The museum announced Tuesday that the whole day was very busy on the site.

The museum received the death much media attention. They decided therefore to go still open. The expectation was that death would provide additional ticket sales. The whole day was very busy at the site of the museum. Interested parties were sometimes more than an hour in a digital queue before they could buy tickets.

Tuesday was according to RTV Noord decided to extend the opening hours of the exhibition. The museum is therefore additional open on Saturdays between 18:00 and 22:00. Many people like to visit the exhibition on weekends, but there are a lot of cards sold before.



The objective in sight

The exhibition attracted 40,000 visitors to yesterday. Also there were already 15 000 other cards reserved. The museum now comes with 70 000 tickets sold close to the target of 100 000 visitors.

The museum offers visitors a multimedia experience with headphones. Therefore there may be only a few hundred people simultaneously view the exhibition. The exhibition runs until March 13th. It is still unknown whether that will be extended. The museum wants to be liked, but still needs to consult with the Bowie archives in New York.
