Typhoon wins two Edison – Entertainment Business

Typhoon yesterday while Edison Pop Gala awarded two Edison. The rapper won in the categories Best Album (Lobi Da Basi) and Best Hip-Hop.

“From his point of departure and verbally gifted rapper from Zwolle he was released after a long journey on Lobi da Basi” , can be read in the jury. “It’s an album, but also a collective effort, a total experience, a feeling, perhaps a way of life.”

The Edison Oeuvre Award was awarded to The Lau (62) and his band The Scene. He received the award for both his solo CDs as for the albums he made with The Scene.

Chairman of the jury was Leon Verdonschot, also Angela Groothuizen (singer / coach) Dave Minneboo (Radio 538) Joost Neel Mans (iTunes), Tijs Liemt (3FM), Roland Snoeijer (100% NL), Joey Ruchtie (Eurosonic Noorderslag) and Job de Wit (freelance journalist) sat in the jury.
