Closer Rogi Cradle (52) deceased – De Gelderlander

In his hometown of Amsterdam Wednesday deceased poet and writer Rogi Cradle. That has let his wife know via Wiegs publisher in the Knipp. Rogi Cradle was 52 years old.

Robert Gabor Charles Cradle, a child of Hungarian immigrants, debuted in 1981 with the collection Cis-trans. In 1987 he was awarded the Lucy B. and CW van der Hoogt Prize Magic Wire dagverdrijf. His farewell poems published recently in the literary magazine Extaze.

Wiegs writing career was marked by severe depression. He has been regularly admitted to psychiatric hospitals underwent electroshock therapy and did three times attempted suicide. Due to unbearable mental suffering “allowed him eventually euthanasia, reports the Volkskrant.

Broadcasting VPRO sends by way of memoriam Sunday a special edition of the program book out. The episode is dedicated to the life Cradle. The program is to see 11.20 on NPO1.
