Janet Jackson, after a few years of silence released a video clip. “I hope you enjoy watching as much as we enjoyed making,” wrote the 49-year-old singer in the clip of No sleeep.
No sleeep, which appeared June 23 is the first single from Jackson’s eleventh studio album that opens on 25 September. The album is her first studio album in seven years.
In the released version of No sleeep be heard rapper J. Cole, he also has a prominent role in the video. In it Jackson walks through her house while she sings about a long distance relationship. The video, which was directed by Dave Meyers, reminiscent of the clip Jacksons hit That’s The Way Love Goes from 1993.
No sleeep Jackson again collaborated with the songwriters- and producers Jimmy Jan and Terry Lewis. The duo and Jackson are no strangers to each other, the first collaboration dates back to 1986. John and Lewis produced include Jacksons hits All For You, Does not Really Matter and That’s The Way Love Goes.
