Pokémon movie rights sold to Legendary Pictures – NU.nl

Legendary Pictures and The Pokemon Co. Wednesday brought out that they will launch the first live action Pokémon movie, reports The Hollywood Reporter .

The new film is about Detective Pikachu, a new character in the Pokémon universe.

The rumors about a new Pokemon -film went longer. Several film companies were interested to be able to make the film. Legendary Pictures’d already been in the race to start production, but so far there was never closed a deal.
