At the opening ceremony the Tattoo was played on the Wedren and held a minute of silence, according to the organization.
About 1,800 walkers, soldiers and officers participated in the parade, where they from Waalbrug walked through downtown. They were accompanied by (military) bands from different countries.
The runners ran with flags of all participating countries and the twelve provinces. The participants were greeted by thousands of people along the side of the road.
The parade is one of the many extra activities for the centenary of the originating military performance ride. Saturday was the kickoff of the Four Days
