Barely trains to and from Utrecht by faulty overhead – NU.nl

The trains in almost all directions are bothered by it, such as to and from Schiphol, The Hague, Breukelen, Den Bosch and Nijmegen.

The Dutch Railways (NS) investigate with ProRail which trains there can ride. It is recommended that, if possible, Utrecht Central Station to avoid. ProRail reported around 8:00 am that technicians on site to repair the overhead line.

“Travelers should be aware that their train Monday does not go as normal,” said a spokesman for the NS. “We do not know how big the piece of wire is to be replaced, but for people to safely work on the recovery may adjacent tracks are not used. This has significant influence on the trains. There driving or trains to and from Utrecht but very limited. “

Travelers should take into account an additional journey time of half an hour. NS expects that the problems are solved only around noon. “And then the traffic is slowly resumed.”

A month ago there was a major failure at Utrecht Central. Hence why there all day hardly trains.
