Sharing stand for the whole Mr. Turner. The film covers not only "just" the last twenty-five years of its existence, but it is the story that is told is actually a large collection of miniatures. Short chapters are 't, designed with much attention to detail that they seem really real life.

Mike Leigh highlighted so many facets of Turners rather Nurkse personality. His artistic passion to his discomfort in human contact, the tender relationship with his indwelling father (Paul Jesson) to blunt his lust for the housekeeper, his dislike for art theories to his fascination with modern technology.

Cameraman Dick Pope was inspired by the visualization of the story through the work of Turner and looks through his eyes to look at the world. He uses the color palette of the painter and recreates optimal use of light, the landscapes that inspired the artist.

But though Mr. Turner's most delightful film Mike Leigh's illustrious career, the form remains subservient to content. His fascination with the human form in all its ugliness has thereby undeniably something beautiful. That love is reflected in colorful supporting roles, but also in the title character.

Timothy Spall is a growling, hawking and spitting Turner and let the painter his lumbering body through the landscapes lugging that inspire him. He enthusiastically plays the clumsy elephant in the china shop of the pinned Academy. Through his heartfelt and nuanced performance appropriates Spall fully concentrate this film. That was also at the Cannes Festival, where he was rightly awarded the prize for best actor
