Sony does cinemas freedom The Interview refuse – AD.nl

Now it is threatened with attack, Sony has the cinemas themselves given the choice of whether they want to continue with the screening of the comedy The Interview. Then Carmike Cinemas decided to cancel the scheduled performances.

Film Sony wants despite the terror threat from hackers group Guardians of Peace continue with the screening of The Interview, but will cinemas not force their commitment to show the film after to come. According to a tour at the cinemas by Variety.

According to US intelligence, there is no reason to assume that the threat must be taken seriously. It is suspected that the group is linked to North Korea, a dictatorship known for its fierce war language, but rarely delivers. Much to the dismay of Pyongyang, their leader in the film of Seth Rogen and James Franco is taken on the heel.

Most cinemas have indicated they want to continue with the screening, but consider additional security measures. America’s four largest cinema chains AMC, Regal, Cinemark and Carmike saw their shares fall after all the anonymous group threatened with terror.
