One hundred and fifty cars involved

On the A58 between Goes and Middelburg is a havoc after three collisions in dense fog . There are two dead, eleven seriously injured and 15 slightly injured. An unknown number of people ran bruises. In total there are around 150 cars involved in the collisions. Fifty ambulances have offered help. The safety Zealand has an emergency number furnished. It can be reached at 0800-6100

© anp. There are two reception centers for stranded motorists known: meeting and conference center in the Stenge Heinkenzand and sports Cans in Arnemuiden. A third location is currently being arranged in the building of Rijkswaterstaat in Driewegen (Borsele). Buses will drive people towards it, reports the Safety. They have to leave keys in the ignition. The Red Cross has been with water on the way to people who are standing on the highway. There are also mobile toilets. The Red Cross has also called on people to report via Ikbenveilig.nl.
An eyewitness reports that the traffic suddenly stopped.
Jan Lonink, mayor of Terneuzen and Chairman of the Safety, called a very sad day. He talks about an accident with major impact, and indicates that it is quite normal as eyewitnesses need help with the process what they have seen.

The road between Middelburg and Goes is closed in both directions, the accident occurred in the direction of Bergen op Zoom. There are two alternative routes: the U18 and U20 for people who drive into New Zealand and the U19 and U21 for people Zeeland spreading.
