Breaking Bad and Modern Family big winners Emmy Awards – The Standard


             ‘Breaking Bad’ and ‘Modern Family’ are the big winners of the 66th Emmy Awards. The prestigious television awards, about the Oscars of American television, were presented Monday night in Los Angeles.
         

“Breaking Bad” won the Emmy for best drama series. In the category of best comedy series drew ‘Modern Family’ for the fifth consecutive year. ‘Breaking Bad’ actor Bryan Cranston received the award for best male lead in a drama series. Colleague Aaron Paul could take the Emmy for best supporting actor in a drama series in reception. Anna Gunn also won an Emmy for her supporting role in the award winning drama series.

Actor Jim Parsons received an Emmy for his starring role of Sheldon Cooper in The Big Bang Theory. The Award for Best Actress in a comedy series was Julia Louis-Dreyfus in ‘Veep’.

Ty Burrell won a statuette for best male supporting role in the comedy series “Modern Family.” Alison Janney played the best supporting actress in the comedy series ‘Mom’.

‘Fargo’ was named best miniseries and “The Normal Heart” can call itself the best television movie in 2014.

Billy Christal, colleague and friend of Robin Williams, spent during the award a tribute to the recently deceased comedian.
