 Oscar-nominated actress Lauren Bacall deceased Hours after the shocking news of the death of Robin Williams is still one of the greats in the acting world survive. Lauren Bacall, the Oscar-nominated actress died on Tuesday morning from the effects of a stroke.

The actress was born in New York in 1924 and was a large well-known in the cinema, in television and on stage. During more than seventy years Her most recent work is the Oscar-nominated Ernest & amp; Celestine and the television Family Guy .

But she is best known for her work with her husband Humphrey Bogart. Together they played in films like To Have and Have Not , The Big Sleep , Dark Passage and Key Largo . Later she played also roles in films like Sex and the Single Girl and Murder on the Orient Express .

Her Oscar Nomination got Bacall for her role in The Mirror Has Two Faces . Unfortunately they won that, but in 2010 she received an honorary Oscar. She also received other prizes, including a Golden Globe and a SAG Award. The National Board of Review and Broadcast Film Critics gave its Lifetime Achievement Awards.

Four years after the death of Humphrey Bogart in 1957, Bacall was married to actor Jason Robards. They stayed together for eight years and had one child. With no Bogard Bacall had two children.

Lauren Bacall died at age 89.
