“Very first photo plunder of the Netherlands’ Van Baerlestraat – Parool.nl

From the window of the Kahmann Gallery in Baerlestraat his Friday morning two pictures by photographer Albert Watson stolen with a combined value of € 50,000. According to the owner it would be the first Dutch photography art prey.

An eyewitness saw two young men that Friday morning around 5:30 am in a very short time, the art pieces were able to steal.

One of destroy them that the glass door and took the photographs from the window, while a second man across the street waiting for a black scooter. During the robbery alarm of the gallery did not fire, police said. The way and the speed at which the photos were taken, may indicate a deliberate theft.

Probably the pair aware of the value and knew the men exactly where they could find.

The gallery owner has reported the stolen photos.

For Sale
The police are investigating the robbery and are looking for the suspects . If the pieces are offered for sale, the police hopes people reported doing there.

The Scottish photographer Albert Watson (1942) is best known for his work for fashion magazine Vogue and music magazine Rolling Stone. The photo of Kate Moss in 1993 in Marrakesh for the German Vogue is one of his most famous works
