Jazz Pianist Joe Sample (75) deceased – The Stentor

HOUSTON – In his hometown of Houston in the American state of Texas is Friday jazz pianist Joe Sample deceased. The American, who often elements of soul, funk and gospel recorded in its jazz music, has become 75 years. His family made the death Saturday announced on Facebook.

Sample played from its 5th year the piano. After his musical education, he simply formed with some fellow classmates The Jazz Crusaders, The Crusaders later. In 1979 the song “Street Life” brought them much success. Younger listeners might recognize his work; samples of his music are often used, for example in the song “Dear Mama” by rapper 2Pac.

In his 50-year career took Sample 21 solo albums and wrote music for countless other musicians. He has performed with such greats as Miles Davis, B. B. King, Marvin Gaye and Joni Mitchell.
