Typhoon winner best Dutch album – Parool.nl

The Dutch rapper Typhoon last night stand out in Amsterdam with 3voor12 Award 2014 the prize for the best Dutch album of the past year. He received the award for his album ‘Lobi da basi. “

The jury made Typhoon form a complete album, as it is currently almost no longer made. It looks like a book, a work of art with a head and a tail, which you seem to be. Personally addressed The music surprised from the first note. ” The jury called the album is not hip-hop but “poetry in a hip-hop beat.”

There were twelve albums nominated for the award for the best Dutch album of the last season. Besides Typhoon also competed among others Blaudzun, Youth Of Today, Eefje de Visser and Jungle By Night along to the Award.

The winner was chosen by a twelve-member jury, with four experts from the world of music, four musicians and four public judges. The award ceremony in the Tolhuistuin in Amsterdam was broadcast live on 3FM.

3voor12 Award was presented this year for the eleventh consecutive year. Past winners include Voicst, Opgezwolle, Kings of Leon, The State and Blaudzun. At the Award is a prize of more than 1200 euro
